FS: 1.8l 8v engine 280k running strong.
out of 91 jetta
has autotech adj. cam gear
autotech 272' camshaft
ecu chipped.
has g60 valve cover with rubber gasket.
has a not too old head gasket and timing belt.
20k on waterpump.

did not burn or drip oil out of the ordinary.
did not leak coolant.
sounded like it should when running. but has a
leaking exhaust manifold which is a dual outlet.

FS: 5 speed transmission out of same mk2.

clutch has 20k on it and did not tick or grind
or do anything out of the ordinary. good transmission
i will get the trans code when i get a chance,
but again its out of a 91 jetta 8v.

FS: 1.7l 8v engine 230k running well.
out of 83 cabriolet
It leaked from the oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket.
unsure of the head gasket and timing belt age.

FS: 3 speed automatic transmission out of same cabby.
ran well. but would suggest fresh gasket kit before install.

Sounds familiar...

Pour celles et ceux qui ont un 8v un peu fatigué ou qui a besoin d’un head gasket, c’est un excellent moteur de remplacement. La transmission avait un short shift kit avec bushing the téflon Missing Linkz. Je sais pas s’il est encore dessus.
